First Unit Up Code of Conduct

All the members of First Unit up needs to know this Code of Conduct inside and out. Abiding by this will allow us to get the respect and reputation of a well organized and structured band of brothers. The actions of every member reflects the actions of the unit. And every member needs to take this into consideration and think before you act.

The Code of Conduct is as follows:

1. CHEATING WONT NOT BE TOLERATED:

Cheating of any kind for any reason will not be tolerated. Not in our games or in any other games. Accusations of cheating will be met with a warning and investigation with the maximum punishment for further cheating being IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE UNIT. Accusations of unit members cheating will not be made in public rooms or lobbies. Contact a General, if you have proof bring it to their attention, and they will handle it from there.

Don't make the unit look bad by using mods or glitches that give you an unfair advantage. If you can’t rely on your skills to play or win, then don't even bother playing. If you find yourself glitching with out you doing it on purpose, you have the choice to leave the room or match. Any mods other than those than come stock with the game is discouraged. If you rely on unfair advantages, they always wont be there. So learn to rely on your own skills.

2. KILLING WITH KINDNESS:

All First Unit Up Soldiers and Recruits will conduct themselves as a professional at all times. Remember to respect the rank of your fellow members. Trash Talking, Taunting and Inappropriate Language and/or Behavior is frowned upon in our unit. We wish the opposing team a good game whether win or loss. If people are trash talking or taunting, just try and ignore them. Also let your game playing speak for you. Don’t ad insult to injury by doing these acts of rudeness. We want to provide an environment for serious gamers to enjoy themselves. Don’t insult other clans before or after clan matches. If they are instigating feuds between us and them, we will pull out of the room, file complaints and negative feedback on that team and it’s players.

If you find yourself feuding with a member of the unit bring it to the attention of a General(s) attention and it will be promptly taken care of. If a player says they are joking around, that isn’t acceptable. Joking can be taken the wrong way, and can offend other members of the unit.

 

3. SCHEDULING MATCHES AND/OR SCRIMMAGES:

NO unit members, other than Generals, may challenge or accept a challenge from another clan for a scrimmage. If you find a clan you think we might like to play, or if another clan challenges you, forward this information to your superior. Generals then will set a scrimmage or matches. Playing an unauthorized matches or joining another clans team with another clan will result in your immediate removal of your rank until we figure out what we are going to do about this, it can also lead to your removal from the unit.


4. PROMOTIONS, AND DEMOTION:

NO unit members other than the Generals, may decide or execute any kind of punishment to other unit members.
NO unit members, other than Generals, may promote or demote ranks or offer promotions in the unit. You can provide your opinion on whether or not you would like to see a member promoted, demoted, or removed from the unit. Promotions, demotions, and removals will be discussed in a Generals meeting and will be voted upon, and majority favor rules. Threatening a member with a demotion will not be tolerated. Violating this rule will result in loss of privileges, rank, demotion and/or REMOVAL FROM THE UNIT.



5. RECRUITING AND MEMBERSHIP:

Players looking to be recruited must be 17-18+. We don’t allow kids in our unit, because they bring a bad name to the unit. All new members or recruits will go through a week or two trial period. This is a test on your skills, team play, communications, loyalty and availability. If you apply for recruitment, and we don’t see you on very much and when you are on and you don’t play with other members or accept their game invites, don’t expect to be a member of the unit. During your recruiting period, you will be required to put the clan name as a clan tag. If you make it into the unit, you will be required to change your name. No member is to be a part of another clan no matter what, showing little loyalty to the unit will result in your application of recruitment being denied.
No clan hopping. If you are caught clan hopping, you will be stripped of your rank and/or removed from the unit. If you decide to leave the unit, you will have to change your name, and remove the First Unit Up tag from the front of your name. First Unit Up is a copyrighted clan name, and refusal to change your name from First Unit Up can result in a lawsuit being filed against you. We don’t want to have to go that far, for your sake and ours.

All new recruits and members are required to join the web site and post your info for the Generals. Your info is totally confidential, and used to get a hold of you, and/or send you info through the mail. It will be viewed by the two admins on the site. After it has viewed and made a copy of, it will be removed from the site so that new members posting their info wont see it. Again please register for our website www.firstunitup.com.
We require that you be as active on the site as possible. There will be posts about events, strategies, and basic info about the unit.

6. PARTICIPATION IS A MUST:

It is a must to take part in as many events as you can. All members are required to have a folder or notebook containing information that is concerning the unit. Participation on the web site is required. Participation, this is defined by making it to every and any meeting that we hold. Also this is attending as many practices as possible. Making it to meetings will allow you to get any information that is needed. Taking notes is a good way to keep with what is going on within the unit. Every members participation within the unit, will help make your experience with being in the unit a better experience. Also this participation with count towards your promotion. If you can’t make it to events, we would like you to contact a General, and let them know that you can’t make it to an event and tell them why. They will pass on this information to their superiors and you will be filled in on what you missed when you are online next. Being the best player on the team doesn’t always get you a spot in clan matches. We like to have every member get a chance in play a match. We have worked really hard to get where we are today, and winning isn't everything. Because we reward loyalty, respect, and participation, we will let a member that shows that 100% in these areas a spot to play in clan matches.

First Unit Up (FUup) has been around for 8 years now. Our leader John May/Xbox Live Gamertag  FUup ELITE JMAY originally started this unit on Call of Duty Finest Hour, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for PlayStation 2 back around 2003. A friend sold him a Xbox 360 and he had a half dozen or so members that followed. Thats when history was made.

There was one game that caught the eye of the members, and that game was Rainbow Six Vegas. This where our President and Vice President, Brian Masengale/ Xbox Live Gamertag FUup Kutt, met each other. We started to grow from there. Our team went from a few members to close to 50 but with people constantly leaving and joining our team was a steady 25 members strong.

Eventually there was another game that our unit had to move to because our roots were deeply planted in this games previous series. That game is Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Our unit has grown tremendously since our conception 6 years ago. We have moved to hit games like Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and All of the Call of Duty's and the Battlefields as well. Everyone is anticipating what the future will hold for us.

Anyone can join are Social Gaming Network and recieve some of the best things the website has to offer are members, but If you are interested in joining the clan/group, we have a couple requirements...

• You must be 17 or 18 years of age or older, there can be exceptions for people younger than 17. 

• You must be mature

• Your Gamertag

• Name and Age 
• Why you want to join our unit?
• What can you bring to help make this a better unit?

PVT-{Private} Must go through a tryout, which can take up to two weeks to complete and must be registered on the website.

PFC- {Private First Class} Must have two weeks of service with at least 1 loyal recruit or atleast getting some one on the website on are comm. And starting to learn your way around the site and the Code of Conduct.

SPC-{Specialist} Must have a couple weeks under your belt. With 1+ recruits that are registered on the site. And or have someone become a Member on the website for are Comm.

CPL-{Corporal} Must have at least 2+ weeks of being recruited. Know most of the Code of Conduct. Recruits must know their way around the site.

SGT-{Sergeant} Must have at least 3 weeks of service. Have 2 recruits that are registered on the site, or atleast some one thats a member of are Comm on the site. know what the Code of Conduct is and what is to be expected of members.

SSG-{Staff Sergeant} Must have a Month of service. Have 2+ Recruits or Have some ppl join are Gaming Comm. Who are Registered on the site, know the Code, and is Starting to be more active on the site.

SFC-{Sergeant First Class} Must have a Month or more with the Unit, Have 2+ Recruits or have some ppl join are Gaming Comm, and Starting to post on the site. And more Active.

MGS-{Master Sergeant} Must have a Month or 2 with the Unit. Have 2+ Recruits or have some ppl join are Gaming Comm, Know the Code to the T and hare Starting to post Threads Comments Replies or Blogs, just being active on the site.

1SG-{1st Sergeant} Must have a Month or 2 in the Unit have 2+ Recruits and starting to work on 3rd or having ppl become a member of are gaming Comm. Know the Code Posting Threads and Topics, Recruits are starting to move up in Rank.

SGM-{Sergeant Major} Must have 2 months in the unit have,2+ Recruits working on 3rd Have ppl join the website, and starting to post on anything once a week, Being active, know the Code. 

CSM-{Commanding Sergeant Major} Must have 2 months of service. Post at least 1 thread or reply a week. Have 2+ recruits, who are registered on the site, or a have atleast some ppl become a Member of are Comm, know the Code of Conduct, posting threads and replies on topics.

SMA-{Sergeant Major of the Army} Must have atleast 2months of Service Be active on the Website have Recruits and ppl joing the Comm Know the Code play with the Unit and getting ready to be an Off.

2LT-{Second Lieutenant} Must have 2 or more months of service. Post 1-2 threads or replies a week. Have 3+ recruits who are registered on the site, and have atleast one person become a Member of are Comm, know the Code of Conduct very well. And who is posting replies or threads at least once every few weeks.

1LT-{First Lieutenant} Must have close to 3 months of service, proven loyalty. Post 2-3 threads on website almost every week. Have 3 recruits, who are registered on the site, know the Code of Conduct very well, and who are participating on the site and within the unit.

CPT-{Captain} Must have close to 3 months of service, proven to be dedicated and loyal. Post 2-3 topics or replies every week. Have 3 recruits registered on the web site, or have ppl joing are gaming Comm know the Code of Conduct very well, starting to participating almost on a weekly basis. And are starting to show us loyalty, respect, and some dedication.

MAJ-{Major} Have 3 months of service, proven to be dedicated and loyal. And can take charge of members getting out of hand. Having 2-3 post a week on the web site. Having 3 recruits or ppl joing are gaming comm that are participating almost weekly on the site and within the unit.  And starting to show us loyalty, respect, and some dedication.

LTC-{ Lieutenant Colonel} Having 3 or more months of service, proven to be dedicated and loyal. Take charge of situations, and not playing favorites. Know the Code of Conduct by heart. Having 2-3 posts a week on the web site. Having 3 recruits that are posting on the website weekly. Recruits are off their PVT rank and on to their PFC rank. Your recruits must know the Code of Conduct well. And starting to bring in their own recruits or ppl who are joing are gaming comm.

COL-{ Colonel} Having 3 or more months of service, proven to be dedicated and loyal. Posting 2-3 times weekly on the web site.  Taking charge of situations and not playing favorites. Recruits must know the Code of Conduct to a T, and are posting 1-2 times a week on the website. Recruits must be off of PFC rank and move to their SPC rank. And recruits bringing in their own recruits, or ppl joing are Gaming Comm.

BG-{Brigadier General} Got to have atleast 3 Recruits and some ppl joing are Gaming Comm. Recruits must be SGT's and Up. Must have been in the Unit Over 3 Months. Must post a Thread or anything on the site atleast 3-4 a week Must have playing time atleast 3days a week, Must have good Strats, Staff Planing, Must attend Every General's Meetings "Only can miss one" Must have a good Personality good playing skills and have Leadership.

MG-{Major General} Must have atleast 4 Recruits and have ppl joing are Gaming Comm, That are SGT's and up. Must be in the Unit over 4months and has good reputation. Must post on the site atleast 4 or more a week. Have playing time atleast 4 days a week. Must attend Every General's Meeting and Member Meeting only can miss one. Have good playing skills, and good Leadership. Must be able to Create rooms for the Unit if Leaders room is full.

LTG-{Lieutenant General} Must have atleast 4 recruits and ppl joing are Comm. Recruits must be very active and that are SGTs and up, Must be in the Unit for 5months and has a good Reputation. Must be active on the site with atleast 5 or more posts a week. Must have playing time 5days a week, and moves to whatever game the Unit goes to. Must attend Every type of meeting and Practice cant miss one Only if its very Inportant. Must have good Strats good Leadership and good strong arm Skills. Must be able to Create rooms for the Unit if one room is full.

GEN-{General} Must have atleast 5 recruits and ppl joing are comm. Recruits must be in atleast one of them an 2LT. Must have in the Unit over 6 Months with good Reputaion. must have post a Thread 1 a Day.Must have a Combine total playing time 6 days a week and moves to whatever the game the unit is going to. Must attend every type of Meeting and have a Input.Must have good Strats Teamwork Leadership, good playing time with your Recruits. Must be able to Create room for every game the Unit goes to, and have good winning stats. Be a 100% dedicated to the Unit.

GOA-{General of Army} Sec of Defence. Must have atleast 6 Recruits and ppl joing are gaming Comm, Atleast one of the Recruits is a Major and the Rest are 2LT and up and are very Respected. Must have been in the Unit for a Year and is Voted from the Leader and V.P to be a GOA. Must Get on the website all the time be very active help out with all the Problems, post on Topics or Create a Topic, Must get online atleast everyday even if its for 2hrs and up. Must be able to Create Rooms for the Unit is we arent on for whatever game the Unit is Playing. Must attend EVERY type of Meeting and have atleast some type of Input, and come up with Strats. Must have very good Teamwork-Leadership- and Strats and good playing time with everyone. Must be able to be the Leaders right hand man and that can take orders, and go to whatever game the Leader goes to. Must be 100% Dedicated to the Unit and very Trustworthly.

Reminder: These ranks aren't just given out, a member must earn it. The time in the unit can be over looked if other aspects are greater than the time in unit.  These General ranks aren't just handed out. They are rewards for members hard work and dedication. Also there are other factors that are taken into account. Like recommendations from your recruits, subordinates, superiors, and Generals. But again you will not be just handed this position. To be nominated for these positions you have to have proven yourself. This means abide by the Code of Conduct though out your time in the unit. If for any reason there are accusations of any nominated members of breaking any part of the Code of Conduct, you will be either disqualified or will be given a lower General Rank. Also this will be deliberated by all the Generals, majority rules, and you will be given our answer in a message, phone call, or private party chat. With posting on the web page, we will be checking over your posts in the forums and blogs. Spamming on the site will not be tolerated, and will not count towards your rank. You must be active and 100% Dedicated to joing a Clan who loves to play games. There will also be a Review every month on your Rank to see if your doing what you need to do to keep that rank or move up.

This is the way the Ranking system should look on your Motto With the Groups the Unit has.
